The story portrays two main protagonists. Heiress Do Hee (Kim yoo), the present CEO of a F&B company, is a rival to many (mainly her siblings)and entangled in power struggle inside her own family. Another being, Gu won (Songkang), a powerful entity, of course, the Devil.

Gu won the Demon has been roaming since 200 years making deals with humans by granting their desires and condemning them to hell after 10 years. By nature he is arrogant and narcissistic. On the contrary Do Hee, adopted daughter of Madam Ju’s is a strong, independent and workaholic woman who has no time for romance. Underneath, she is a loving girl who is very vulnerable inside and has fear of losing her loved ones.

As the story unfolded, two opposites meet in mystical circumstances where Gu won loses his power to Do Hee. In the
attempt to regain its power, sparks flow between them, eventually leading to a contract marriage. The story continues in the line of ‘ she fell first but He fell harder’ as Gu won keeps on helping Do Hee from the real Demon(spoiler alert) till the last episode.

Though at first the storyline seems like typical ‘A Demon falling in love with a Human’, as the back story unfolds it becomes clear that there are hidden details surrounding the involvement of Doo Hee in Gu won’s transformation into a Devil 200 years ago.

The story exudes its brilliance in top-notch chemistry, pacing, and cinematography. It has been a complete rollercoaster wherein
Some scenes want to make you giggle, some squeal due to the cuteness, while the rest make you grip onto your pillow and bowl like a baby.

While not explicitly portraying itself as a religious show, My Demon also features touch on religious and spiritual themes, especially in the context of good and evil and Demonic power.
