Storyline – Journey from Seoul to Gongjin
The story begins with Yoon Hye-jin, a neat freak perfectionist practitioner of dentistry, who enjoys every aspect of her professional life living in the comforts that city life brings. Unexpectedly and quickly, she is forced out of Seoul onto the coastal village Gongjin, where she finds herself in a new lifestyle full of carefree, simple people, practical problems, and without a rush.
Opening a dental clinic is the least of her confidence issues. As the story moves, she meets Hong Du-sik, A local who has expertise in absolutely everything someone would need, be it fishing or repairs. Locals refer to him as “Chief Hong”. Their encounters start and lead to a beautiful loving journey.

Characters – Real or Relatable Personalities
The greatest vigor of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is its characters. Yoon Hye-jin is a confident and slightly stubborn woman who learns to work with small problems in life. Hong Du-sik is an inexplicable, caring person who has a slightly perplexed backstory, but his smile, empathy, and helpfulness are the heart of the village. Even the secondary characters are equally strong – like the market ajummas in Gongjin, the fishing uncles that hang by the beach, the single mom’s struggle for her child, or the young couple going through the ups and downs of their relationship.
Cinematography – Magical Representation Coastal Beauty

The show was a visual treat, bringing some artistic and beautiful cinematography.
The background music was also medium soothing and engendered a serenity to the scenes that made them emotional or heartwarming; there was also an emphasis being placed on viewing ‘the romantic months of the year as a catalyst. The Original Soundtrack (OST) of the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha series, especially with regard to the show “Romantic Sunday”, has made a unique identifier and medium image that stays long in the hearts of every viewer.
